About the k2books.co.uk website Hello and many thanks for stopping by k2books.co.uk. Whether you are looking for a cheap and cheerful working copy paperback or that elusive first edition we hope that you will find something of interest at our site. The k2books.co.uk website is operated and maintained by Digital Freedom Ltd (UK) and items are dispatched from k2books.co.uk's dedicated storage close to Oldham and Manchester in North West England. K2books.co.uk operates exclusively online (sorry, but we have no facilities for personal callers) although we hope that this allows us to offer our inventory to anyone with an email address, to keep overheads down and for our team to concentrate on the purchasing and processing of items. For first and other interesting editions we try to provide a comprehensive and honest description along with a series of high quality photographs of the actual item including copyright info (where available) and internal condition. Recognising the high cost of buying a large number of new texts over an academic year k2books.co.uk also attempts to carry a wide range of used paperbacks related to the various English Literature courses available at UK university level (Q300) and will always be pleased to make an offer on any good quality texts and criticical works that you may have to sell. Although we are not professional, full-time booksellers we are most definitely bibliophiles, each having a wide range of literary interests and knowledge. We each have either an Arts degree or teaching qualification and between us have many years of experience in (amongst other things) school teaching, librarianship and tutoring. Our stock lists tend to reflect our own specialised authors and genres although, while it would be impossible to carry and replace a copy of every text from every course, we are continuously open to suggestions and updates from existing or prospective customers. Our interests lie in diverse fields including 1900-1950 American Literature and Utopian / Dystopian fiction. Consequently we are always interested in buying books of any type and age by diverse writers including Jack London, Aldous Huxley, Eugene O'Neill, Scott Fitzgerald, George Orwell, Anthony Burgess, H G Wells, Kurt Vonnegut, Martin Amis, J G Ballard and Ernest Hemingway plus many others from the classical to modern periods. We endeavour to ship books as quickly as possible and to give each customer the same high level of service, whether they are buying a cheap paperback for a tutorial or a £500 eighteenth century set. Whatever your requirements please feel free to get in touch and see how we may help. Best wishes, The k2books.co.uk team Our Privacy policy at k2books.co.uk Respect for your online privacy is of paramount importance to us. We never pass on any details of our customers and we don't send out promotional material except to those individuals who request inclusion on one of our mailing lists, or receive further network services. Digital Freedom's complete privacy statement can be found here Returns and Refunds IF YOU WISH TO RETURN A BOOK OR PART ORDER THEN PLEASE CONTACT US FOR A RETURN SLIP AND # The k2books.co.uk website primarily grew out of the desire to trade collectable editions with likeminded booklovers. Also, recognising that the cost of new books can make termly purchases for an undergraduate costly to say the least, it was intended to make cheap reading copy paperbacks available for many major texts. Consequently we would much rather have a smaller group of happy, returning customers than a high 'churn' rate of 'one-time' buyers. That is why we want you to be happy with every order that you place with us. Refunds can be requested in Cheque or Credit form. Returns can be made within 14 days in the following instances i) If there has been a substantial error (eg: major mistake in collectable edition description, wrong item posted etc) - Items may be returned and your postage costs will be included in any refund or corrected delivery ii) Any returns made in other cases (eg: double gift, mistaken purchase etc) - Items may be returned within 14 days for a refund although we reserve the right to charge £2.50 plus 10% sale price re-stocking fee for each item. You shall be lable for all postage costs incurred. Insured items damaged or lost in transit shall be treated according to the terms of specific delivery which shall be mailed to you with receipt of your payment. We reserve the right to refuse to ship to any individual or address in circumstances where we feel that our Returns Policy is being abused. |
